Job summary

Evri Group is seeking a Day Shift Manager for the Tyneside Depot to lead the day operations, manage a mixed team of warehouse operatives, shop and drivers, and ensure a smooth shift.

You will motivate staff, prioritise pressing needs, deliver on SLAs, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of direct reports and up to 50 indirect reports, providing direction for the shift.
• Develop and train reports and ensure SLAs are hit for the Day shift.
• Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations.
• Generate and process BI and MI reports from Driver and Loader outputs.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

OurDay Shift Manageris responsible for the smooth running of the Day operation in ourTynesideDepotwhere you will manage a mixed team of Warehouse Operatives, Parcel Shop and Cat C Drivers.

OurDay ShiftManagerjob is for someone who understands how to motivate staff and can efficiently prioritise pressing needs, where there isn’t an obvious solution. Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit as would logistics experience, but we are open to experience gained in other related fields. You must be able to work collaboratively and take the lead on projects amongst your peers.

Essential skills and experience required:

• Managementexperience of leading and managing a team.
• Mustbe able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
• PCLiterate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Experienced of working in fast-paced logistics
• Anunderstanding of Transport regulations
• Goodcommunicator and able to liaise at all levels
