Job summary

Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Days Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Brigg-based manufacturing site. The role centers on reactive maintenance with additional involvement in PPM, project work, and set-ups to keep production lines operating efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Ideal candidates will be time-served or qualified in electrical or multi-skilled engineering, be able to fault find electrically and mechanically, and have 17th/18th Edition preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served or formally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical or Multi-Skilled).
• Must be truly multi-skilled and fault find both electrically and mechanically.
• Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition.
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a proactive and adaptable approach.
• Willingness to develop skills through training and upskilling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime across production lines.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to enhance equipment reliability.
• Support and deliver engineering projects aimed at process and efficiency improvements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across the site’s advanced machinery.
• Work with robotics, casers, check weighers, fillers, conveyors, and other packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and other departments to ensure smooth production processes.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Monday to Friday rotating shifts Mornings and Afternoons, but with no Weekends or Nights

Role Overview:

This role is predominantly reactive maintenance, with additional involvement in PPM and project work and Set Ups/Product Changeovers. • Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a proactive and adaptable approach.
• Willingness to develop skills further through training and upskilling opportunities
• Any previous exposure to Packaging, Packing or Bagging equipment would be advantageous
