Job summary

Wellocks, part of the William Jackson Food Group, is seeking a Day Warehouse Supervisor (Ambient) to lead the ambient daytime operations. You will develop and manage your team to meet output targets while complying with all safety, quality and process standards.

You will monitor stock rotation, conduct daily checks, and ensure accurate handovers to the night shift. Strong communication and coaching skills are essential, with IOSH desirable and familiarity with Dynamics 365 a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
• IOSH certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Proficiency with MS Office and warehouse management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE, hygiene and security standards are met at all times.
• Escalate health, safety, food safety or quality issues promptly.
• Manage stock rotation (FIFO) to minimise waste and out-of-date stock.
• Conduct daily stock checks with reconciliation and escalation as required.
• Optimise stock availability and handover to the night shift.
• Deliver mandatory training, daily team briefings and recruitment support.
• Conduct appraisals and development plans for the team.
