Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Day Support Worker in York to support a gentleman living at home with his partner and family. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred companionship, daily routine support, and enabling independence within a safe home and community setting.

You will help with daily activities, social outings, and basic personal care, with a flexible 0-hours contract and regular duties tailored to the client’s needs. Training and development are provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person-led support that helps the client maintain independence and quality of life.
• Provide companionship and encouragement during daily routines and activities.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication, and day-to-day living tasks as needed.
• Accompany the client to appointments and community activities using public transport when required.
