Autism Plus in Yorkshire is seeking empathetic, patient Support Workers to provide person-centred care to adults and young people with autism and learning disabilities. You will help individuals pursue goals, engage in activities, and promote health and wellbeing in a supportive home setting.

Qualifications

• Experience isn’t essential; full training provided.
• Must complete a fully paid, 3-week induction.
• Ability to assist with domestic duties and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in their home per Care Plans and assess needs.
• Provide practical support for household tasks.
• Offer emotional support by listening and discussing concerns.
• Adapt communication to each individual’s needs.
• Respect privacy and maintain dignity at all times.
• Assist in planning strategies to support and alleviate challenging behaviour.
• Monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication where applicable.
