Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking an Autism Support Worker (Days) at CONIFERS to join a dedicated team. You will work 42 hours per week, days only (08:00 AM–08:00 PM) with alternative weekends.

The role involves supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities in a specialist residential service and upholding person-centred care approaches. You will provide guidance, emotional support and practical assistance, ensuring a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and community

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to adults with autism and learning disabilities.

• Monitor and report service user needs and welfare requirements.

Cygnet Group are currently looking for an experienced Autism Support Worker (Days) to join our dedicated team at CONIFERS.

You'll be working 42 hours (Days Only - 08:00 AM till 08:00 PM) per week, including alternative weekends.

The Service:

CONIFERS is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and moderate to severe learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each person's specific needs. We understand that consistency and continuity of care is important for the people we support.

The People We Support:

• Adults from the age of 18 years
• Individuals with a diagnosis of autism & learning disability
• May present with behaviours that challenge
• May have communication challenges
• May have associated complex needs
• May have an ECHP (Education Healthcare Plan)
• May be subjected to DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) or Care Orders

Your Day-to-Day:

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all
