Taylor Stevenson Ltd is recruiting a Day Site Production Supervisor in Doncaster to lead a small team on a busy waste processing site. The role involves hands-on supervision of mobile plant, ensuring safety, efficiency and production targets are met within a 24-hour operation.

You will work closely with the Site Manager and maintenance teams to keep the plant running smoothly. The ideal candidate has 360 Grab, Loading Shovel and FLT experience, plus prior supervisory or team-leader background,

Day Site Production Supervisor

Doncaster | £16.00–£20.00 per hour (DOE) | Permanent | 4 on / 4 off Days

Taylor Stevenson is proud to be working with a well-established waste management company in Doncaster that is looking to appoint an experienced Day Site Production Supervisor to join its growing operation.

PLEASE NOTE – To be considered for this role you MUST have:

• 360 Grab experience (Essential)
• Loading Shovel experience (Essential)
• FLT (Forklift Truck) experience (Essential)
• Previous Supervisory or Team Leader experience (Essential)
• Previous experience within the Waste, Recycling or Resource Recovery industry is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be expected to lead from the front while operating mobile plant and ensuring the safe and efficient running of the production site.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the production operation, supervising a team of operatives while ensuring production targets, health & safety standards and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.

Working closely with the Night Supervisor, Weighbridge, Front of House and Maintenance teams, you'll help deliver a smooth 24-hour operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 3 operatives
• Operate mobile plant including 360 Grab, Loading Shovel and FLT
• Monitor daily production and ensure targets are achieved
• Coordinate plant operations in line with inbound and outbound material
• Complete shift reports and production documentation
• Carry out and monitor pre-use plant inspections
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, COSHH, SSOW and Risk Assessments
• Report hazards, accidents and near misses
• Support training, absence management, return-to-work interviews and holiday planning
• Work closely with Site Management and other departments to maintain an efficient operation
• Drive continuous improvement across the site

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience operating 360 Grab
• Previous experience operating a Loading Shovel
• Valid FLT experience
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience
• Experience working within a manufacturing, processing or production environment
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience within the waste, recycling, aggregates, scrap metal or resource recovery industry
• Knowledge of production processing operations
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation within an industrial environment

Hours

• 6:00am – 6:00pm
• 4 on / 4 off rotating days
• Daily handover with Night Supervisor

Pay & Benefits

• £16.00–£20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
