Job summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting an experienced 360 Grab Driver for holiday cover at a busy waste recycling facility near Grantham. This role offers ongoing, full-time work within a well-established operation.

The successful candidate will operate a 360 grab, move materials around the yard, and support shredding and screening processes while following health and safety procedures. Monday to Friday, 17:30–5:30 start times.

Qualifications

• Valid 360 Grab licence required.
• Experience operating a 360 grab in waste/recycling/aggregates/quarrying or similar.
• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking and capable of working independently.
• Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 360 grab safely and efficiently.
• Feed green waste materials into shredders.
• Manage screening operations and maintain material flow across site.
• Stockpile and move materials as required.
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and basic machine inspections.
• Report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Assist with general site duties as required.

Location: Barkston Heath, Ancaster, NG32 3QF near Grantham
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 17:30pm - 5:30am

About the Role

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced 360 Grab Driver to join our client at their busy waste recycling facility near Grantham for holiday cover

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with a well-established recycling operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the site's shredding and screening processes while ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently around the yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a 360 grab safely and efficiently.
• Feeding green waste materials into shredders.
• Managing screening operations and maintaining material flow across the site.
• Stockpiling and moving materials as required.
• Carrying out daily pre-start checks and basic machine inspections.
• Reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with general site duties where required.

Requirements

• Valid 360 Grab licence (essential).
• Previous experience operating a 360 grab within waste, recycling, aggregates, quarrying, or a similar industry.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
• A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
