Job summary

Workforce Group are partnering with a Birmingham-based engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Welder Fabricator for a permanent day shift role. The candidate will weld to high standards and fabricate from drawings, using mild and stainless steel.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, measuring to tolerances and working both independently and as part of a skilled team in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Strong MIG welding experience.
• TIG welding experience.
• Previous fabrication experience.
• Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and work from engineering/fabrication drawings.
• Good understanding of measurements and tolerances.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Fabricating and assembling components from drawings.
• Working with mild steel and stainless steel.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials.
• Welding components to required specifications and tolerances.
• Carrying out fabrication and finishing work.
• Ensuring welds and finished products meet quality standards.
• Using a range of workshop tools and fabrication equipment.
• Working independently as well as part of a skilled engineering team.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
