Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Walsall, working day shifts. You will fit, assemble, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and machinery, interpret drawings and respond to breakdowns with accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates have proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter, are proficient with hand tools, and can read engineering drawings. This temporary to permanent role offers holiday entitlement, pension and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
• Competent with hand tools and able to work to tight tolerances.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fit, assemble, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions accurately.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and keep work areas tidy.
• Adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
