Job summary

Workforce Staffing in Walsall is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a day shift. You will fit, assemble and maintain mechanical equipment, interpreting drawings and following safety procedures. Day shifts are 07:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime.

NVQ Level 2/3 is preferred but not essential if you have demonstrable experience. Temporary to permanent vacancy available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
• Competent in using hand tools with the ability to work to precise tolerances.
• Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential with demonstrable experience.
• Reliable with strong timekeeping and a professional attitude.
