Job summary

Driving Force Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a hands-on, day-shift role with regular hours and a clear route to permanent employment. You will perform store deliveries to major retail customers from early start times, with guaranteed hours during the agency period.

The position requires loading/unloading, use of a pump truck, and adherence to tachograph and drivers’ hours rules. Prior store delivery experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 experience.
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Reliable and professional approach
• Good timekeeping
• Comfortable working to timed deliveries
• Ability and willingness to use a pump truck
• Previous store delivery experience is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Class 1 store deliveries to major retail customers.
• Working to timed delivery slots.
• Using a pump truck to complete deliveries.
• Loading and unloading goods.
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks.
• Completing delivery paperwork and PODs.
• Liaising with the transport team.
• Working in line with Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph regulations
