Job summary

Workchain Ltd. in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a temporary to permanent daytime role. You will complete planned deliveries and collections safely, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure loads are secured and paperwork is accurate.

Applicants should have a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), CPC, and a digital tachograph card, with prior HGV1 experience and good knowledge of UK roads and regulations. We offer a competitive hourly rate and weekly payments.

Responsibilities

• Completing planned deliveries and collections safely and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly
• Ensuring loads are secure and handled in line with required procedures
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Following drivers’ hours, working time and road safety regulations
• Representing the business professionally at delivery and collection locations
• Keeping the vehicle clean, secure and in good working order
