Job summary

CV Technical Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing site. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery, aiming to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.

The role offers a permanent day shift with early finishes on Thursdays and Fridays, a salary up to £43,000, and ongoing training plus a company pension.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (essential).
• Apprentice trained is preferred for this role.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on motors, conveyors, control panels and associated equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machine reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Assist with machinery upgrades, installations and improvement projects.
• Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and electrical standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering department.
