Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Day Service Officer (Anchor Centre) to deliver day care to adults with PMLD and autism in line with Social Work policies and personalised care plans. You will help service users meet their needs with dignity, maximise independence and promote inclusion in the wider community.

You should have a good understanding of the needs of people with learning disability and/or autism, the ability to complete care plans, undertake risk assessments, and record daily support

Qualifications

• Experience with people who have learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Ability to complete care plans, undertake risk assessments and record daily support notes.
• Person-centred approach with respect for service users and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day care to adults with PMLD and autism in line with Social Work policies.
• Assist service users to meet their needs as detailed in care plans.
• Complete care plans, undertake risk assessments and record daily support notes.
• Communicate effectively with service users, carers and professionals; maintain sensitive information.
