Job summary

Lauriston care home in St Leonards-on-Sea is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant (Days). You will support residents with personal and social care, working within individual care plans to promote dignity, independence and wellbeing. Training and development are encouraged as part of MHA’s supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people is helpful.
• Willingness to be trained at Level 1 or 2 in social care is encouraged.
• Able to communicate clearly and listen well, with patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing individual care plans, including plans for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, promoting residents’ wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety practices.
