Job summary

MHA's Norwood care home in Ipswich is seeking a Care Assistant (Days) to provide personal and social care, upholding residents' dignity and wellbeing.

You will act as a keyworker, help develop and review care plans, support residents with dementia, and follow safeguarding and health and safety practices. A supportive, trained team environment with DBS checks funded and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring, patient and empathetic nature.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and social care to residents as per care plans.
• Act as keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including for residents with dementia.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
