Job summary

Prime Life Ltd in Brough is seeking a dedicated Day Care Assistant to support residents with age-related conditions and dementia. You will work across a rotating 8am–8pm schedule, delivering compassionate personal care, meals, hydration, and social stimulation within Westerlands Care Village.

No formal care experience is required as full training is provided; however, a caring nature, patience and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a difference for residents.
• Full training provided; prior care experience not essential.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and maintain dignity for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and evening routines.
• Perform welfare checks to ensure safety during night shifts.
• Support residents with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Encourage safe mobility with aids and equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship to residents.
• Maintain accurate written records and documentation.
• Support family members and respond to enquiries.
