Job summary

Prime Life Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Day Care Assistant to support residents at Westerlands Care Village, Brough. The role covers an 8am–8pm rota within a friendly team, helping with personal care, nutrition, mobility and companionship.

No formal experience is essential as full training is provided; DBS checks are funded, and there are progression opportunities within the Quality Matters team. We value patient, respectful care and a real commitment to residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Prior care experience is desirable but not required.
• Patient, understanding and respectful approach to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal hygiene and getting them ready for the day.
• Completing routine welfare checks throughout the day to ensure safety.
• Supporting residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration.
• Encouraging residents to mobilise safely around the home with mobility aids.
• Providing friendship and companionship to residents.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing documentation.
• Engaging with other care professionals to promote residents’ wellbeing.
