Job summary

Prime Life in Shepshed, Leicestershire, is hiring a Day Care Assistant on a full-time basis to support residents with age-related and health needs, including dementia. The home offers a supportive team, set shifts from 8am to 8pm, and a commitment to compassionate care.

You will work as part of a friendly care team, delivering personal care, nutrition support, mobility assistance, and social activities, with training provided and DBS covered.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings is desirable but full training is provided.
• Candidate should be patient, understanding and respectful of residents.
• Willing to work across 7-day rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and choosing an outfit for the day.
• Support residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage safe mobility with aids and equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship, and accompany residents on social outings or appointments.
• Maintain accurate written records and documentation.
• Engage with family members and other care professionals when required.
