North Star Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Daughter Craft Coxswain for its ERRV/MRV fleet. The role requires taking charge of Daughter Craft and its crew on launch, under Masters' orders, and ensuring safe operation of the craft.

Responsibilities include upkeep and local repairs on FRC/Daughter Craft, engine runs, reporting defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, assisting with deck duties, and contributing to fire-fighting and safety oversight during maintenance.

Formación

• OPITO DC Coxswain certificate required.

Responsabilidades

• Taking charge and command of Daughter Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.
• General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.
• Running up FRC Engines to ensure they operate.
• Reporting all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.
• General on deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.
• Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.
• Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.

Candidates must hold valid OPITO DC Coxswain certificate.

Daughter Craft Coxswainis responsible for the following:

• Taking charge and command of Daughter Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.

• General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.

• Running up FRC Engines to ensure they operate

• Reporting all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.

• General on deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.

• Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.

• Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
