The Opportunity

We are seeking a Supervisor to oversee a team of Data Stewards in Liverpool. The team supports various business areas such as Risk Management, Finance, and Business Development by cleansing and maintaining client and matter data vital for compliance, billing, and reporting. The goal is to ensure data quality and consistency across the firm's databases.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of Data Stewards, managing workload and service level commitments.
  2. Implement effective systems for work scheduling, distribution, and prioritization.
  3. Ensure cleansing and maintenance of data in compliance with regulations.
  4. Identify and update incomplete or inaccurate data through searches.
  5. Verify new data entries to meet standards.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.
  7. Review and improve processes for best practices.
  8. Process change requests for client/matter data where risk review isn't needed.
  9. Perform housekeeping tasks within databases for efficiency.
  10. Support the Head of Risk in documenting and promoting best practices.
  11. Assist in team development, including training and performance reviews.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Previous experience as a Data Steward.
  2. Excellent IT and administrative skills.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Experience with legal practice management and compliance systems (desired).
  5. Supervisory experience (desired).
  6. Attention to detail and research skills.
  7. Stakeholder management at all levels.
  8. Ability to manage workload and delegate.
  9. Team-oriented with adaptability to new processes and technology.
