Job summary

PreSales Collective is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build and maintain robust data pipelines for high-priority projects across government and national security sectors. You will work with Snowflake, Databricks and cloud platforms to ensure data quality, security and performance, while collaborating with customers and internal teams.

The role involves shaping data strategy, governance, and roadmaps, with hybrid/remote working options across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of data management principles, including data modelling, integration, quality, and governance.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks is essential.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, validate, and analyse data requirements across complex environments.
• Gather, profile, and analyse large-scale structured datasets for accuracy and quality.
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting and transforming data.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and operations.
• Implement data quality controls and prepare datasets for reporting and visualization.
• Design and maintain data models to support analytical and operational needs.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and contribute to data analytics strategies.
• Present findings and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
