Allstate Northern Ireland Limited seeks a Managing Engineer, Data Security Engineering to lead a team that designs, builds, and operates enterprise security controls across cloud platforms and the software development lifecycle.

You will set technical direction, own delivery, and mentor engineers while delivering policy-as-code, data protection capabilities, and automated testing and deployment across DLP, data discovery, and data access controls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software, data or security engineering with ownership of production systems.
• 2+ years leading engineers while remaining hands-on with design and code reviews.
• Deep knowledge of data protection, DLP, data discovery/classification, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team accountable for engineering data security products.
• Set technical direction across architecture, design, deployment, and production support.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through code and solution design.
• Guide capabilities across DLP, Data Intelligence, or Data Access and policy automation.
• Develop policy-as-code workflows, testing, deployment, and reusable controls.
• Automate control lifecycle activities, reporting, and health checks.
• Own reliability, adoption, and continuous improvement of security products.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable technical outcomes.
