Job summary

Wise is seeking a Data Science Lead to head the Verification Data Science team within KYC Global and Onboarding in London. You will steer the data science roadmap, lead and grow a team, and own the end-to-end lifecycle of ML systems that support document verification and risk checks.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impact for customers and the business. The role focuses on building scalable ML models, managing datasets, and evolving production systems while staying

Qualifications

• Experience leading data science teams and roadmaps.
• Strong background in machine learning and deep learning.
• Ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Familiarity with KYC/domain risk checks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the data science roadmap and prioritise projects with cross-functional teams.
• Lead and develop data scientists; provide coaching and career support.
• Oversee model lifecycle from training to production and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain large Python codebases and data assets for KYC.
