Job summary

Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Oxfordshire is offering a 12-month Applied Data Science Intern placement. You will work with engineering teams to analyse manufacturing data, develop dashboards and contribute to digitalisation projects.

This role provides practical industry experience and exposure to AI, ML and predictive analytics. You will study toward a degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science or Mathematics, with some programming and data analysis

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Engineering or related field
• Some programming, data analysis or datasets experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive, eager to learn new technologies and develop skills

Responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing and process data with engineers to identify trends and improve performance
• Understand manufacturing processes and the data behind them to extract insights
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to support informed decisions
• Assist with digitalisation of manufacturing processes and automation of tasks
• Apply data analysis and statistical techniques to engineering challenges
• Explore AI, ML and predictive analytics and their applications in manufacturing
• Collaborate with teams to address challenges with practical data-led solutions
• Present findings through reports and demonstrations
