Job summary

Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Oxfordshire offers a 12‑month Applied Data Science Intern placement. You’ll work with engineers to analyse production data, build dashboards and automate workflows, gaining insight into manufacturing processes and data-driven decision making.

The role involves developing data-led insights, exploring AI and machine learning, and collaborating across locations. Eligible UK students will contribute to digitalisation projects while gaining industry

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 12-month industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degree.
• Some programming, data analysis or experience with datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; curiosity to understand how things work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing and process data to identify trends and improve performance.
• Develop dashboards, reports and data visualisations for teams.
• Support digitalisation by developing applications and automating tasks.
• Explore AI, machine learning and predictive analytics within manufacturing.
• Collaborate with teams to build practical, data-led solutions.
• Present findings through reports and demonstrations.
