Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is offering a 12-month internship at our Magnet Technology site in Oxfordshire, with responsibilities across manufacturing data analysis and digitalisation projects. You will work closely with engineers to build dashboards and perform data-driven insights, gaining exposure to AI, machine learning and predictive analytics.

You will be studying towards a degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science or Mathematics, and complete a 12-month industrial

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degree is required.
• Some experience of programming, data analysis or working with datasets gained via university projects or personal work.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with curiosity about how things work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
• Desirable: experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing and process data with engineers to identify trends, investigate problems and improve performance.
• Understand manufacturing processes and translate measurements into insights.
• Develop dashboards, reports and data visualisations for process understanding.
• Support digitalisation of manufacturing by developing applications and automating tasks.
• Apply data analysis and statistical techniques to engineering challenges for improvement.
• Explore AI, machine learning and predictive analytics applications in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with teams to understand challenges and develop data-led solutions.
• Contribute to engineering projects by analysing results and sharing findings.
