Job summary

Newsflare is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Lead to own the data, analytics and reporting capability. You will develop analytical solutions, build predictive models, and turn complex data into clear insights for multiple stakeholders across the business.

You will work with Matillion, Snowflake, Tableau, R and Python, collaborating with Commercial, Finance, Operations and Tech teams to drive data-driven decisions. This is a hands-on, leadership role in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in data analytics, data science, statistics, business intelligence or related discipline.
Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Advanced experience with R or similar statistical language.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses.
Experience developing dashboards and reporting (Tableau preferred).
Experience with Python for scripting, automation or deployment.

Responsibilities

Develop analytical solutions to answer commercial, operational and business questions.
Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical analytics.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and issues.
Use statistical/mathematical techniques to support decision-making.
Develop predictive models and machine learning solutions where appropriate.
Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting across teams.
Improve reporting quality, accuracy and accessibility of trusted data.
