Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking an Information and Privacy Adviser for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s Data Protection and Information Access team based in Cardiff. The role supports compliance with FOIA, EIR and GDPR/DPA, advising on information rights and data protection obligations.

You will log and respond to information requests, assist with handling individual rights, support data breach investigations, and help manage risk and mitigation efforts within the department.

Responsibilities

• Logging, considering and responding to RFIs under FOIA, EIR and GDPR/DPA.
• Handling Individual Rights requests including Erasure and processing restrictions.
• Supporting the data protection team with breach monitoring and investigation.
• Assisting with Data Protection Risk register and mitigations.
