Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking an Information and Privacy Adviser in Aberdeen. You will support compliance with information access and data protection laws, advise on FOIA/EIR/GDPR requests, and help manage data protection risks.

The role reports to the Head of Data Protection and contributes to corporate governance and regulatory compliance within the MCA/Department for Transport framework.

Qualifications

• Experience with information access, information rights or data protection.
• Knowledge of FOIA, EIR and GDPR/DPA is desirable.
• Strong advisory and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on information requests under FOIA, EIR and GDPR/DPA.
• Support the DPO and Head of Data Protection in statutory tasks.
• Assist with risk management and reporting for data protection.
• Ensure lawful and compliant disclosure of personal data.
