Job summary

Optical Express in Glasgow is seeking a Data Protection Administrator to handle subject access requests and data inquiries under GDPR regulations. You will report to the Data Protection Officer and collaborate with our in-house Legal team, liaising with stakeholders as needed.

Training in data protection and SAR response can be provided if required. The role involves ensuring timely, accurate responses and maintaining data request trackers to support compliance and patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GDPR regulations when responding to data requests.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for all data requests and queries.
• Investigating and processing data requests using in-house systems to ensure the correct information is provided for each case file.
• Responsible for handling all SARs, identifying and assessing relevant information for each request to draft accurate responses within statutory deadlines.
• Maintaining reports and trackers on all data requests.
