Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Data Product Owner to shape and deliver data products that drive insight-led decisions across Commercial, Clinical & Operational teams. You will define vision, roadmap, and backlog, collaborating with partners and engineers to deliver dashboards, reports, and data models while ensuring governance, quality, and compliance.

You will lead a small analytics team, coach colleagues, and bridge business with tech teams, promoting adoption through training and change management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Experience defining product roadmaps, backlogs, and user stories.
• Experience with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in Agile environments with Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Experience leading or mentoring team members.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience in Product Ownership/Management in Data, Analytics, BI.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical, or operational settings.
• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Relevant certifications such as CSPO or BCS Data Management.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for data products across Commercial and Clinical & Operational domains.
• Collaborate with Data Business Partners and stakeholders to translate business priorities into actionable data solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of dashboards, reports, and data models alongside analysts and data engineers.
• Ensure data products are governed, documented, and aligned to data quality and compliance standards.
• Monitor product performance, adoption, and impact, driving continuous improvement through feedback and analytics.
• Champion user-centred design principles to create intuitive and valuable data products.
• Manage and develop a small team of analysts, providing coaching and direction to support successful delivery.
• Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, objectives, and timelines.
• Support adoption and engagement through training, communication, and change management activities.
