Job summary

Money and Pensions Service in Bedford is seeking a Product Manager for Data Products to shape, deliver and continually improve data products that support the National Pensions Connection Service, the Pensions Dashboard and MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard programmes.

You will lead the direction for data products providing a single, trusted view of service performance, collaborating with Data Engineering, BI, Product, Operations and external suppliers to define user needs, roadmaps and backlogs

Qualifications

• Experience managing data products or services such as BI dashboards.
• Familiar with Agile and Lean practices to support delivery.
• Ability to translate stakeholder insights into improved product outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for reuse and efficiency to deliver value for money.
• Understand product lifecycle phases and manage outcomes across the lifecycle.
• Use data and evidence to inform prioritisation and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead iterative development of data products aligned with user needs and organisational goals.
• Collaborate with BI analysts, UI/UX designers, delivery managers, and engineers to enhance usability.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders including those with varying technical understanding.
• Adapt to ambiguity and evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Address governance, privacy and compliance early in the lifecycle.
• Use product usage data and evidence to guide prioritisation and lifecycle decisions.
• Ensure products are accessible and valuable to external bodies including government and regulators.
• Maintain roadmaps and backlogs; translate user needs into product outcomes.
• Actively contribute to the wider product community at MaPS.
