Job summary

A&O Shearman is hiring a Paralegal – Data Privacy Analyst to join its Belfast Data Privacy Team. The role focuses on supporting a market-leading AI and data governance programme, managing data, and ensuring GDPR compliance across the firm. The ideal candidate will have a law degree and strong IT and communication skills.

The successful candidate will work within a small team, liaising with global colleagues and contributing to policy development, training, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Law degree required.
• Demonstrable IT proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and MS Office.
• Experience in a professional environment and strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Support Data Privacy Team activities, including AI and data governance programmes.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data to support advisory and operational work, including rights requests.
• Maintain documentation under Data Protection Laws and coordinate with global teams.
