Data Privacy Legal Counsel - Insurance, London

This role is with a global, leading specialty insurer seeking to recruit a UK insurance and data privacy legal counsel into their legal department in London.

The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory topics within insurance and financial services, as well as support the Data Protection Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support on insurance and regulatory compliance matters.
• Advise on data protection laws including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act.

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified solicitor (England and Wales) with a strong background in insurance law and regulatory compliance.
• Post-qualification experience preferably in non-life insurance, brokerage, or insurance law practice.
• Proven track record supporting legal aspects of insurance operations.
• Deep knowledge of insurance contracts, regulatory environment, and consumer lines insurance is desirable.
• In-depth understanding of UK and EU data protection laws.

Additional Details:

Hybrid working policy: 3 days per week in London office.

Salary: £125,000++ per annum plus bonus and benefits.
