A key client of ours, an innovative law firm, dedicated to servicing entrepreneurial clients to include start-ups and SMEs, is looking to engage a finance Lawyer on an ongoing consultancy basis. The firm pride themselves on their ‘people first’ approach and their recently obtained B-Corp status.

This consultancy arrangement is non-exclusive, capable of sitting alongside other projects, and can be undertaken on a fully remote basis.

The successful Lawyer can expect to be provided with work from the firm, initially sitting at circa 10 hours per week. A competitive hourly rate is on offer for this.

Should Lawyers also be interested in building their own client book of business, the firm will support these endeavours and will award the Lawyer with a fee share of any resulting work. A desire to BD and build a book of business is NOT required, however.

Successful Lawyers are likely to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales.
  • A strong Finance background obtained from notable city or international law firms.
  • A wealth of finance experience.
  • Experience in working on term loan facility agreements; revolving credit facility agreements; debentures, share charges, legal charges and other security arrangements; intercreditor issues; refinancings; convertible debt; guarantees; LMA facility documentation; restructurings; asset finance and/or real estate finance.
  • A genuine interest in working on a flexible consultancy basis.
  • The ability to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail.
  • The capacity to start a new opportunity immediately or at short notice.
