Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management roles.

Data Platforms Product Owner

0-12 months you’ll deliver and maintain the vision and roadmap for the product that creates value from our product data assets for internal consumers and external clients.

• Define and agree OKRs with stakeholders to measure progress

• Own & manage the prioritisation of the product backlog to deliver on agreed objectives

• You will work with the team of data engineers to deliver the backlog in partnership with Data Platforms leadership

• As a Data Product Owner you will be responsible for the overall quality of the Product and ensure that Data governance practices are followed. You will also ensure Data services deliver against agreed customer and client service levels

• You will establish and implement practices that empower Product Owners and Engineering teams

What you’ll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• You will have previously been in a Data Product Management role or (Product Owner or Product Analyst position)

• You will possess at least 5 years in a role combining Agile and Product skills, ideally with Financial Services experience

• Have strong technical skills working predominately with Cloud Data Platforms, APIs & Cloud Services

• You will have solid experience analysing problems and business needs and writing user stories and supporting requirements that meet the teams’ Definition of Ready

• You will have a proven track record and confidence in collaborating and communicating effectively at all levels of the organisation

• You will have experience of co-ordination across multiple teams with unique needs and objectives

And would love you to know or learn :

• As a Product owner at NewDay you will take decisions to enable the team to work at speed even if you don’t have all the information you want. Have a point of view and be prepared to express it in the spirit of continuous improvement
