Job summary

Synapri is supporting a PE-backed organisation searching for a Data Lead to build the Data Foundations as they enter a scale-up phase. The role focuses on creating accessible, well-organised data to enable insights and informed decision-making at the executive level.

You will shape the data function from the ground up, partnering with C-level and senior teams to deliver a scalable data platform and robust governance. This hands-on leadership role drives data maturity and business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience building data foundations and platforms to enable scalable decision making.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams including Data Eng, Analytics, BI and Governance.
• Proven track record establishing data governance, quality controls, and self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise data strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Establish a roadmap for data maturity across analytics, reporting, governance, and self-service capabilities.
• Act as executive owner for data across the organisation and partner with leadership to deliver insights.
• Lead the development of a scalable data platform and architecture including ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Deliver KPI reporting and executive dashboards to inform strategy and growth.
• Enable data-driven decision making and support forecasting, pricing, and operational improvement.
• Establish a single source of truth for performance reporting.
