Job summary
SLR Consulting is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for our data platforms, pipelines and data assets, ensuring they are scalable, trusted and aligned with long-term business needs. You will lead the design and evolution of the data engineering ecosystem, set engineering standards, and guide delivery of high-quality data solutions across the organisation.

Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise-scale data engineering platforms.
- Strong SQL and Python, PySpark for ingestion and transformation.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud analytics platforms.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture, star and snowflake schemas.
- Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards.
- Implement data quality, governance, security and operational controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and evolution of the enterprise data platform.
- Partner with architects to align data engineering with strategy and standards.
- Drive modern data architectures, data products and scalable services.
- Mentor data engineers and support career development.
- Oversee data pipelines, quality, monitoring and governance.
- Establish CI/CD, testing, version control, IaC and documentation.
- Drive platform performance, reliability and cost optimisation.
