Job summary

JLR Search Ltd. is seeking a Product Owner to define and prioritise data and platform capabilities.

You will translate business and technical needs into epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, while partnering with product managers and engineering to shape roadmaps and manage dependencies. You will lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT to ensure delivered functionality meets requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
2+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or related role within Financial Services or FinTech.
Ability to translate ambiguous needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritised backlogs.
Experience with Agile engineering teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence, with confidence using SQL or similar analytical tools.
Knowledge of data products, metadata, identifiers, mastered data, data quality, and data lifecycle across systems.
Understanding of APIs, data models, integrations, and requirements to build reliable data services.
Comfort using AI-enabled tools to develop prototypes or demonstrations for discovery and stakeholder decisions.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of financial data workflows.
Experience working with data platforms, APIs, data models, or analytics products.
Exposure to AI-enabled products, machine learning applications, or modern data technologies.
Ability to translate strategic business objectives into practical product outcomes.
Experience working across global teams and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
Customer-centric mindset with execution and delivery focus.
Demonstrated initiative and ownership.

Responsibilities

Own and prioritise product backlogs, aligning delivery with product strategy, customer needs, and measurable business value.
Translate business and technical needs into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and non-functional requirements.
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to shape roadmaps and maintain a delivery-ready backlog.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and UAT to ensure delivered functionality meets requirements.
Use AI-enabled tools to create prototypes and demos that test assumptions and accelerate decisions.
