Job summary

Leap29 in London is seeking a Product Owner for Data, AI & Engineering to shape data-driven products. You will partner with Data Engineering and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into technical outcomes, owning the product roadmap and prioritising the backlog in a hybrid working environment.

The role requires strong understanding of data platforms, Python and AWS, plus experience in Agile/Scrum and communicating with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Product Owner, Product Manager or similar in a data-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and modern data platforms.
• Experience working closely with Data Engineers or software engineering teams.
• Knowledge of Python and its application within data, automation or AI environments.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI and how it can be applied to real-world products and business problems.
• Experience writing user stories, defining requirements and managing product backlogs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear business outcomes.

About the role

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with the Data Engineering team, technology stakeholders and wider business to define, prioritise and deliver data and AI-focused products. You will sit at the intersection of product, data and technology, translating business requirements into clear technical outcomes and helping the engineering team deliver solutions that have a measurable impact. This is a hands‑on product role for someone who understands data and modern technology and is comfortable working closely with engineers, data professionals and senior stakeholders. You will play an important role in developing the company's use of data, automation and AI, helping identify opportunities where technology can improve decision‑making, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
