ITV is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join our Central Data Team. The role combines platform engineering, data engineering and governance to deliver scalable data services across the organisation.

You’ll help build secure, well-governed data platforms with self-service capabilities, enabling analysts and data scientists to work efficiently. The position is hybrid with locations in London or Manchester, offering a salary range of £50,000 to £60,000 and a closing date of 10 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure & platforms (ideally GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code, containerisation, automation and monitoring tools.
• Experience using version control tools (git).
• Experience designing, building and operating highly available, highly scalable systems.
• Understanding of data platforms and tooling in the data domain.
• Working knowledge of Unix based OS (Mac/Linux).

Responsabilités

• Deliver the technical implementation of our data platform, working closely with our product owners, architects, and end users.
• Work with our Data Engineers to help design, build and maintain Data Products delivering critical analytical data to people and systems.
• Help solve interesting and difficult technical challenges.
• Keep it simple by obeying the Principle of Least Astonishment.
• Help maintain a common set of tools and standards; empower data teams to take ownership of the operation, performance and availability of our data services.
• Ensure that the Data Platform remains secure, well governed and well managed.
• Build out new capabilities for the platform with self-service in mind.
• Monitor the platform so that we are aware of any issues before our stakeholders are
