Job summary

Adria Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer to build a new digital services platform. You will own data pipelines, data warehouse architecture, and data governance in a hands-on, early-stage environment.

The role reports to the CTO and offers a chance to shape architecture, tooling and standards for reporting, analytics and future AI capabilities. Hybrid working from Manchester is available.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience delivering production data pipelines and warehouses.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language.
• Experience with modern data engineering tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT and data quality.
• Knowledge of data governance, security and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain batch and streaming pipelines across multiple data sources.
• Build the warehouse or lakehouse architecture and data models.
• Establish checks for data accuracy, traceability and governance.
• Deliver reliable datasets for financial and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to make data accessible.
• Implement access controls and privacy practices to GDPR/FCA requirements.
• Prepare the platform for analytics, AI and ML applications.
• Evaluate tooling and contribute to data architecture decisions.
