Job summary
GLAS, a leading provider of institutional debt administration, seeks a Data Engineer in London to join a hybrid team modernising our data platform on Microsoft Fabric. You will design, build and support scalable data pipelines and semantic models that empower reporting, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities.
Reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, you will migrate workloads from Azure Synapse to Fabric, implement governance, security and test-driven deployment, and collaborate with BI developers
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components.
- Experience migrating from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
- Advanced SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
- Python and Spark data processing experience.
- Power BI data models and datasets design.
- Data governance and metadata basics.
Responsibilities
- Migrate data pipelines from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain Fabric Data Factory pipelines, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Notebooks, Dataflows and reusable data products.
- Design scalable data architectures with Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers.
- Develop SQL and T-SQL for pipelines and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across BI and analytics.
