Job summary

Seasalt is recruiting a Head of Data & Analytics to shape and deliver the data strategy across the business. You will lead data engineering and analytics, architecting on Azure to enable trusted insights for commercial decisions.

You will oversee governance, data quality, and self-serve BI, partnering with commercial and operational teams to democratise data access while guiding migration from legacy on-premise systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Data Science, CS, IS, Math/Stats.
• Experience leading data engineering, analytics, or data platform teams in a commercial environment.
• Strong leadership and communication with executives and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker translating business needs into data strategies and prioritising accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion a forward-looking data strategy aligned with digital transformation and commercial priorities.
• Translate requirements into scalable data service roadmaps across product, technology and analytics teams.
• Lead data engineers and analysts, setting goals and ensuring delivery in agile cycles.
• Understand on-premises SSIS/SSRS DW and plan decommissioning/migration as part of Data Transformation.
• Select and lead delivery of technologies to provide scalable, future-proof data solutions.
• Own architectural design and evolution of the enterprise data platform on Azure (Synapse, Fabric, Datalake) and the operational DW.
• Ensure robust data pipelines, integrations, and governance practices across systems.
• Oversee SQL data warehouses to meet reporting needs and quality standards.
• Promote data literacy and self-serve analytics through Power BI partnerships.
