Job summary

Ben is seeking a Software Engineer (Data) to design and run pipelines and infra that move data across our platform. You’ll own ingestion, orchestration, and the data layer, partnering with cross-functional teams to scale systems for enterprise customers with strict security requirements.

You’ll work with Python, SQL, Terraform, and AWS services, building robust, secure data integrations and connectors that power AI-powered workflows. This role offers equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• A few years building and running production data pipelines that others rely on.
• Comfortable with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform, and hands-on with AWS (Lambda, ECS, Glue, S3, RDS).
• A good grasp of ETL/ELT and orchestration.
• Experience building or running data integrations and connectors, especially used by other companies or customers.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, sensible design, tests.
• You keep security in mind when building applications and configuring infrastructure, and you know enterprise data expectations.

Responsibilities

• Own everything that flows into Ben: build and maintain ingestion pipelines using Fivetran and custom pipelines.
• Keep everything running on time: own orchestration and reliable data movement.
• Scale and manage data infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS services.
• Connect Ben to customer systems with enterprise-grade pipelines and connectors.
• Build the data layer our agents act on, connecting to AI agents and MCP connectors.
• Shape what we build: collaborate with product to scope scalable solutions.
• Build to enterprise security standards, following OWASP Top 10 and AWS Well-Architected.
