Job summary

Ben is seeking a Software Engineer (Data) to build and run data pipelines, orchestration, and infrastructure that move data across the company and to customers. The role requires reliability, security, and ownership from day one, with a cross-functional engineering team.

You will work with Python, SQL, Terraform on AWS, and data tools like Fivetran, dbt, PostgreSQL, and S3. A strong focus on enterprise integration and scalable design is essential for success in this AI-native environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• A few years building and running production data pipelines that others rely on.
• Infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform, and hands-on with AWS (Lambda, ECS, Glue, S3, RDS).
• Good grasp of ETL/ELT and orchestration.
• Experience building or running data integrations and connectors for external systems is a plus.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, sensible design, tests.
• Security-minded development and enterprise data handling awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own ingestion pipelines bringing data into the warehouse using managed sources and custom pipelines.
• Own orchestration to ensure data moves on schedule and recovers cleanly.
• Build and manage data infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS.
• Create enterprise-grade pipelines and connectors for customers’ systems.
• Connect data to AI agents and services with appropriate context and timing.
• Collaborate with product to scope problems and deliver scalable solutions.
• Build to enterprise security standards such as OWASP Top 10 and AWS Well-Architected.
