Job summary

Ben is seeking a Software Engineer (Data) to design and operate data pipelines, orchestration, and infrastructure that move data across our benefits platform. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to build reliable ingestion, processing, and integration solutions for global enterprise customers, while aligning with security and reliability best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• Several years building and running production data pipelines.
• Familiar with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and AWS.
• Solid ETL/ELT and orchestration understanding.
• Experience building or running data integrations and connectors.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, tests.

Responsibilities

• Own ingestion pipelines for data into our warehouse, using Fivetran and custom pipelines.
• Own the orchestration to keep data moving on schedule and recover from failures.
• Build and manage data infrastructure as code, primarily with Terraform and AWS services.
• Create enterprise-grade pipelines/connectors for customers, handling HR/payroll data.
• Connect data to AI agents and services via MCP connectors for proper context.
• Collaborate with product to scope problems and design scalable solutions.
• Build to enterprise security standards (OWASP Top 10, AWS Well-Architected).
