A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing centralised Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data and taking on a highly visible role, the hire will work closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. The role has a technical/engineering focus, involving optimizing data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to delivery to front office/investment teams.
You will utilize languages such as SQL, Python, VBA, and Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies through complex dataset analysis. The candidate will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and data engineering and act as the point of contact for Traders.
The role also involves working on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing centralized data management solutions.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst within a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with advanced coding languages for large dataset analysis are required.
The position offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, work will be five days in the office, with the possibility of WFH 1–2 days per week once established.
